Dear Friends,
I hope this letter finds you in good spirits, ready to enjoy the upcoming holiday season. As the year edges to a close, I've been feeling nostalgic for the years when my children were small. The holiday season can do this; It holds a special place in our hearts, with memories of sharing laughter, gratitude, and reflections of time passed. Now that my children have grown, recapturing their innocence and childlike wonder through sculpture brings the sweetest of emotions, again and again.
I love borrowing your children, or your grandchildren, for this - thank you!
In this spirit, I am thrilled to share with you my latest creations, four sculptures (four children borrowed) that capture the beauty of sibling bonds and the enchantment of childhood. Each sculpted sibling shares a common thread— a teacup, a unique embodiment of sibling connections. Just how they carry their little cups reflects their distinctive personalities.
Meet the eldest, "The Gentle One," who cradles a bunny, sharing his teacup.
He is sensitive and nurturing— a reflection of his role as the biggest brother. He is a giver by nature, a loving protector.
Next in line is the first and only girl, known as "Tea and Lilies."
She exudes poise and grace, surrounded by lilies, holding her teacup in perfect balance.
Then along comes "Teddy Tea For Monkeys!"
He's a bundle of excitement and silliness, sharing laughter with his stuffed monkey and huggable bear. His teacup seems ready to spill at any moment, living in a world of playful, carefree joy.
Finally, "Cherished Caravan," dreams of destinations and tales of bravery.
With his teacup perched atop his makeshift horse, he is whimsical yet determined as he sets out on a quest to find an adventure of his very own.
This collection of siblings celebrates the gift of growing alongside those you love. I hope these sculptures capture a piece of that enchantment and bring a touch of wonder to your hearts.
I wish you a warm and joyful start to this magical time of year!
With heartfelt appreciation,
